Emplifi (exSocialbakers) previously used a different LMS (Learning Management System) solution for internal needs, encountering various errors within their learning portal, including:
- Poor collection of study results due to incorrect implementation of the SCORM standard for course playback.
- Slow response from technical user support, with tickets taking months to process.
- Minimal further development, lacking any modern features.
For these reasons, Socialbakers decided to find and deploy a new learning portal, which would serve not only for internal learning purposes but also enable the creation of the new Socialbakers Academy for customer education and certification.
New LMS requirements
Socialbakers required an adaptable and customizable learning portal to enable granular management and monitoring of students and their progress. The new LMS must be capable of serving tens of thousands of internal and external users, allowing for configuration and management of their structure.

Scormium solution
Based on the requirements, our team proposed the deployment of our learning portal, Scormium LMS, which operates on the certified Microsoft Azure cloud and is scalable to hundreds of thousands of users.
In addition to its extensive customizability and the ability to tailor its appearance to meet the needs and corporate identity of the client, the Scormium LMS portal can seamlessly integrate with other internal systems.
It's a highly modular platform for training and studying, allowing organizations to create custom views (dashboards) for both students and instructors. Scormium LMS platform includes reporting features without additional costs.
In addition to the LMS, our team offered years of expertise in e-learning methodology and assistance when onboarding customers into the Emplifi Academy portal. This will facilitate customers in learning how to effectively use the Emplifi internal platform, enhance their expertise, and obtain certifications.
Implementation
The transition from the existing learning portal to Scormium LMS took exactly one month, including system adjustments and interface customization. The migration of a large volume of data, approximately 160 video courses, was the most time-consuming aspect of the process.
Thanks to native support of the SCORM standard, the integration of courses into Scormium LMS proceeded smoothly, as did the migration of users’ study history. Users can access the portal using their existing login credentials via single sign-on (SSO) without the need for new registration, seamlessly continuing their studies from where they left off.
The study platform operates without any disruptions. In addition to Microsoft Azure certifications, data security in Scormium LMS is regularly verified through penetration testing. Both learning portals, internal and the customer academy, are running concurrently for the moment.
Evaluation
The client particularly values the speed of deployment and data migration within one month. In the first wave, 300 internal users were deployed, followed by another 1,500, and finally 25,000 users. Native support for the SCORM e-learning standard and the SAML standard for SSO helped prevent any migration issues.
Given the ongoing acquisition by the U.S. company Astute, a further increase in the number of users and courses can be expected. That's why Emplifi greatly appreciates the scalability options and further growth of the LMS in line with the client’s needs. Thanks to the intuitive interface and ease of use, the administrator was trained in a matter of hours.
